From small beginnings, to a now continually evolving club, Skate Humboldt has come a long way in 65 years.

That history will be showcased on Sunday, as the organization holds its annual ice show.

"Seeing the club grow and seeing our skaters from a young age up to a senior age progress is a real pleasure," said Spokesperson Patti Durand on the club's current roster of skaters.

"To think about some of the years where perhaps the club got smaller and was worried about survival, we now have a really strong club and we are excited to show that."

Durand says Sunday's show will take a walk back in history, which for some, will bring the club's history full circle.

"Rejuvenating and looking back at a few of the previous performances and songs and some of the costumes," she noted. "Some of the skaters are trying stuff that perhaps their older siblings did, or their coaches did at one point."

"It's a really fun opportunity to look back and show off their skills at the same time."

The show will begin at 2:00pm, with entrance being a silver collection.

Durand added that there will also be an opportunity to purchase flowers that will be handed out to the skaters.
