The beginning of another Summer Sizzler in Humboldt will be moved indoors, due to rain that will fall throughout Wednesday.

Stephanie Rose will be taking the stage at the Curling Rink to play some of her music beginning at 7:00pm.

Brian Grest with Arts Humboldt says that she is a rising country musician.

"She's a country artist from Debden. She's recorded an album and spent some time down in Nashville, recording with producers and is a fantastic Saskatchewan artist."

Along with the concert, is a barbecue, which will begin at 5:30pm.

Arts Humboldt is hosting the barbecue, which will continue to support their contributions of the city's arts scene.

"All the proceeds go towards things that Arts Humboldt does around the community like promoting the arts and putting on events," noted Grest. "Ultimately, we're putting money aside to try and help furnish a new performing arts facility if and when that comes to fruition."

The kickoff concert was recently added in by the City of Humboldt to help bring extra excitement for the Sizzler.

Grest says that the event has been a success and they are pleased to continue to help out with the city.

"We did it last year and it just reminds people that there is a big weekend coming up. It's a free concert, and we've seen over 200 people come out and get them excited for the upcoming weekend."

The concert was originally scheduled to take place at Civic Park.
