Saskatchewan Government Insurance is reporting a privacy breach at their Vonda office.

They say employee of a private agent accessed a customer's information for non-business reasons.

They say it was a random search and there is no threat to anyone's safety and the employee has had their access to SGI's system revoked.

All SGI employees take privacy training every two years and sign confidentiality agreements.

The Crown Insurer is contacting the individual affected by the breach, the office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has also been contacted.
