A little under three years ago a tragic accident happened on Highway 41 near Aberdeen, now the guilty party has been sentenced.

36 year old James Reynolds was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death He will serve an 18 month jail term minus time served for his role in the death of Lawrence and Darlene Stachniak.

The couple was killed in 2013 when Reynolds tried to pass a semi-truck on a foggy morning and collided head on with the Stachniak's vehicle.

On top of his jail time, Reynolds will also serve an 18 month probation and have a three year driving ban put on his license.
