The Viscount Recreation Board is continuing to raise funds for a new ice resurfacer as well as upgrades to their arena.
Recently the community held a fundraiser collecting scrap tires to be recycled.
That initiative netted the board over $8,200 which brings their total to just over $40,000.
Their goal is $65,000. Approximately $50,000 is for the Zamboni itself, the remaining $15,000 is to be used for upgrades to the facilitate the new machine.
