The unseasonably warm temperatures in the forecast has not been good news for snowmobilers.

According to the President of the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association President Chris Brewer, when turning to farmer's fields for a place to ride it is best to proceed with caution.

"This year we had an extremely wet fall so we know there is still a lot of crop left out in the fields so if you don't know, don't go, you could cause a lot of damage to farmer's fields and this is their livelihood."

He added to watch out for water ways as the ice may not be thick enough.

Brewer said that they are a few different things to be aware of, "there's not a lot of snow in a lot of places, so those hidden things under the snow aren't really covered up, stones, stumps, culverts, there's tons of things out there to be very cautious of."

The Naicam Snow Blasters and Kelvington Trail Blazers trails are open, the Quill Lake Trail Twisters trail is closed, along with Greenwater Provicncial Park trail.

All trail information can be found on the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association website.
