With the low Canadian Dollar there will likely be more camping in Canada this summer and the deadline to reserve a seasonal campsite in Saskatchewan's provincial parks is approaching quickly.

On January 28th, applications will be due to get into the lottery system that will allocate the campsites on February 1st.

Maryanne Wihak encourages people to go on their website to check out the sites before applying.

"Take a look at the opportunities that are going to be available, they can go onto the site and actually look at what each of the sites look like so it's a good idea to do your homework before launch day becasue it does happen quite quickly so you'll want to have a plan in place."

Nightly camping reservations will launch in April said Wihak, "the end of January here we will be announcing what the actual dates for each of the park locations will be, what the schedule of park reservations launches will be."

As in the past, the launch will be staggered over a 10 day period with a queuing system in place during peak hours.
