Minimum wage workers will be receiving a minor pay raise in the next paycheck.

The Government of Saskatchewan increased its minimum wage on October 1, 2020. The minimum wage in Saskatchewan is now up from $11.32 per hour to $11.45 per hour.

The Government's press release indicates that the increase is based on a standard indexation formula calculated on the basis of the Consumer Price Index. The annual calculation is announced by June 30th.

Even with the increase, Saskatchewan will be positioned as the lowest minimum wage in the country. Alberta currently has the highest minimum wage in Canada at $15.00.
