Saskatchewan's sporting history was on display in the parking lot of the Uniplex on Monday.

The Sask Sports Hall of Fame's mobile museum stopped in Humboldt to show off a taste of what exhibition goers can find at its Regina headquarters.

"It's the 50th anniversary and so we put together a traveling exhibit," said summer intern Danelle Hussey. "Since the beginning of July we have been driving it around Saskatchewan and stopping in a different community every day."

Among the noteworthy members of the Hall of Fame is Humboldt's Glenn Hall.

Known as "Mr. Goalie", Hall played 906 games in the NHL, winning two Stanley Cups as a player and another as an assistant coach.

He was inducted in 1991.

When you step inside the museum, Hussey says that you will notice a wide range of sports, athletes and teams.

"There's a little bit of something for everyone. We have different artifacts on display with medals, shirts, jerseys," she explained. "We have pictures of some of our inductees and we also have iPad games. It's a highly interactive exhibit."

This is the first year that the Hall of Fame elected to take their display on the road, and Hussey says that it is only a small sample of what can be viewed in Regina.

"It has somewhere around 14,000 different artifacts. They decided to pick and choose what to put it in this space and take it around Saskatchewan to allow other people to see it."

Hussey added that reaction from those who take in the mobile exhibit has been positive.

"When people walk in, they are very impressed with the design of it and the mechanics behind how we fit everything in," she said. "So far it has been pretty well received. Everyone finds it interesting and cool to look at. There has been people sharing stories of the inductees they know."

The exhibit was in Melfort on Sunday before stopping in Humboldt. On Tuesday, Colonsay is the next stop on the tour.
