A workshop was held on Tuesday at Hannigan's Catering in Humboldt where particiapants learned about how to balance their work and home lives.

The event was put on by Sagehill Community Futures and featured guest Deri Latimer out of Winnipeg.

Sagehill Office Coordinator Jenny Glessman tells us why an event like this is important.

"I think everyone in your region whether they want to say it or not, we're all maybe from time to time struggling with some personal things or even things within our office place. A lot of our employers are finding their employees are having a hard time finding with that balance with work and home with how busy the offices or businesses are."

She adds that one of the things that Deri Latimer taught was how to turn negative situations into positive ones.

Glessman explains some of the ideas that Latimer brought to the session.

"How to find that balance, how to put yourself first, and how to take a situation that you maybe think is negative and turn it to be a positive and then cope with the situation."

The event was well attended and participates enjoyed the information that they received.
