More sightings of wild boars have been reported in the Rural Municipality of Pleasantdale as well as the Village itself leading to a warning being issued to residents, especially children.

Boars are more active at dawn and dusk and like most animals they will avoid human contact unless they feel threatened or become protective of their young.

Keep a safe distance from the wild pigs if you do encounter one.

The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation oversees the Feral Wild Boar Control Program, call them at 1-888-935-0000 to report any sightings.

The warning was issued on Tuesday.

Earlier this year, we featured a crew and their studies currently underway regarding boars in the region, you can read that here.
