Three Hundred to five hundred people were expected at last nights Rider Block party at the Watrous Curling Club, and those expectations were met.

People from Watrous and surrounding area enjoyed hanging out with Gainer the gopher, riders players, and interacting with the community.

The money raised at the Black party is going right back into the community said Brendan Manz, Community development officer of the block party.

"It's going to go to our brand new daycare center we are looking to open up this fall, our high school volleyball team which is trying to get some new equipment, our swimming pool as well, and as well as our sports grounds too."

Josh Bartel, Charleston Hughes, Brett Lauther, and Jovon Johnson were the 4 Riders that made an appearance.

A Q and A session took place to allow the people to get to know the players on a more personal level, as well as an autograph session.

Once the Block Party finished around 10 P.M., a Cabaret took place with a DeeJay at the curling club.

The next Saskatchewan Roughrider Block Party is in Bienfait, Saskatchewan.
