Reverend Al Hingley with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28 in Humboldt is taking time to remind residents about Saturday's Remembrance Day service.

Hingley, who leads the service, says that it will once again take place at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church.

"They have a beautiful sanctuary, and it's appropriate to be in a sanctuary, I believe," he said. "It's always so moving to be in that beautiful facility for the service."

While the ceremony begins at 11:00, Hingley is asking everyone in attendance to arrive well in advance - not only due to seating but for timing purposes as well.

"I'm asking people to come around 10:30am to be seated, because it is always full, and so that the entrance of the parade can enter at 10:45am, and we can get as close to 11:00 as we can for the last post and moment of silence."

Hingley says that a wreath-laying ceremony will take place following the service, along with a lunch and social at the Legion.
