A traffic stop in Melfort has lead to the seizure of crystal meth along with two arrests.

At 11am on Wednesday, RCMP came upon crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, multiple knives, and an undisclosed amount of cash from a vehicle.

Robert Sauter of Melfort and Dione Tonia Wawryk of Prince Albert were arrested and charged during the stop.

45 year-old Sauter was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000, and three counts of failing to comply with recognizance.

44 year-old Wawryk is facing charges that include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5000, and one count of possession of a weapon.

Both of the arrested are scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on June 29th.
