A male and female are both facing numerous charges over use of a firearm in the Punnichy area.
RCMP were advised by Regina Police about a pair of people driving a white mini-van north towards Punnichy on Highway 6, and that the occupants had a firearm.
The pair was witnessed shooting into a farmers field while on the highway, and attempting to steal a vehicle from a Punnichy man.
The pair fled the scene when confronted, and drove east on Highway 15.
After shooting at an RCMP vehicle, the pair were stopped, and arrested.
24 year-old Keli William Stonechild faces 11 charges including careless use of of firearm, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm contrary to a court order. 32 year old Kristin Marie Lerat faces 8 charges including attempted murder, possess weapon for a dangerous purpose and posses firearm in a motor vehicle.
Both will be in Provincial Court in Regina on Monday.
