Over the next two days at the Bella Vista Inn, the Prairie Patchworker's Quilt Guild is hosting their marquee biennial event.

The group meets on a monthly basis sharing techniques and simply each others company but now they get to showcase their work with regional quilters at 'The Heart of the Prairies-From Bolts to Bindings Quilt Show."

"We're really quite excited, we have I think over 130 entries of different items," boasted Guild President Maria Leonard. "We're really encouraging people to come down and have a look, it's almost like an art, some of the work is really fantastic."

There is an opportunity to do some shopping at the event through the vendors that are at the show as Leonard explains.

"They want as many people coming and looking at their products. We also have some demonstrations going on through out the days and that's put on by our vendors. They are showing us some new techniques and some skills they can pass on."

The demos take about 15 minutes each so nothing really time absorbing.

The doors open in the Winston Room at 10 o'clock both Friday and Saturday. It will close at 6pm Friday, 4pm is the close time on Saturday.

There will be raffles, door prizes and a Dutch auction during the show.

Admission is $5 for adults, however men accompanying their wives get in free, so do children 12 and under.
