Rainfall and cooler temperatures combined with higher humidity have led the government to lift all bans on open fires on provincial land.

The ban went into effect on August 1 for land south of the Churchill River, including all provincial parks.

Extremely dry conditions have been seen across most of Saskatchewan, due to a lack of rain.

It should be noted that the lifting of the provincial ban does not mean local bans are also rescinded.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the RM's of Usborne, LeRoy, Wolverine, and Kelvington lifted their bans.

Others still in place include Morris, Elfros, Hazel Dell, Bjorkdale, Sasman, Prairie Rose, Pleasantdale, Hoodoo, and Lakeview.
