Lastly, Saturday morning at around 11:00, the Raymore Fire Department responded to a fire in the RM of Touchwood. A house and an outbuilding were destroyed in another case of arson.

High winds throughout the day caused the fire to spread quickly into the surrounding field. The fire also crossed the road into the adjacent field, which took fire crews multiple hours to eventually clear the flames.

The Punnichy RCMP is requesting that you report any suspicious activty, especially around uninhabited rural areas that have buildings. Owners of the yards are encouraged to check them frequently.

Any information on the fires can be directed to the Punnichy RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
