It’s full steam ahead at the construction site for the Water Ridge Park playground. Crews from 1 Stop Playgrounds of Humboldt are in this week to assemble the impressive play structures on the park’s south side. Along with the adjacent pickleball court which is nearing completion, the entire package will provide new recreational opportunities for all residents of Humboldt.

As completion approaches, the organizing committee announced further details for the grand opening slated for August 27. The Humboldt Co-op will be on hand cooking their fabulous burgers from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. A five-dollar bill gets a burger and drink with all the proceeds being donated. Bouncy castles will provide fun for the kids, while adults can participate in the inaugural pickleball tournament.

The ribbon-cutting goes at 6:00 pm with a concert by Humboldt’s 40 Oz. Philosophy to follow. To register for the pickleball tournament, or for more information, email waterridgeplayground@outlook.com.
