Checking off everything for that back to school list can be stressful and sometimes expensive for some families.

That is why Partners Family Services has been running it's Back to School Drive these past few years. For just under a decade the organization has been receiving donations of school supplies from people throughout Humboldt. For the better part of July and into the month of August people brought school supplies for children to use this year.

This year's school drive was driven strictly by school supplies donations, but in past years, some drives have been more advanced where people could bring in donations of money too. This year's drive was one of the better years that the Partners Family Services has had after supplying 32 children in need of school supplies.

The amount of gratitude shown by the recipients of the school supplies is unbelievable, said family support program coordinator, Crystal Perkins.

"It's quite amazing how just giving someone a new box of crayons can help when they are in a little bit of a crunch to get those supplies filled, and also for the kids, there is nothing like going to school and having that full list and having that brand new box to open up."

Partners Family Services is planning on continuing the School Drive next year.
