Pancake Breakfasts are one of the best parts of Sunday mornings in Humboldt.

The Knights of Columbus yet again hosted their pancake breakfast. It took place on Sunday November 25th, at St. Augustine's Parish. The proceeds of this event will be going towards the St. Elizabeth's Ladies Auxiliary. Dennis Berting, volunteer at the event, on the underlying impotance of the fundraiser.

"Well, it's good to raise money for such a great cause, especially since they do such honourable work within the community of Humboldt." He also noted that the Ladies Auxiliary has been a staple in promoting excellence in many areas of Humboldt's population.

The event was a very well-attended one, with close to 275 ejoying some fresh cooked flap-jacks and some wholesome fellowship after service. While the final tally on the day was not yet known, all the proceeds will be indirectly funding equipment at the Humboldt District Hospital. The Ladies Auxiliary donates proceeds to that and many other noteable causes throughout the year.

There will be another Pancake Breakfast next sunday, again at St. Augustine's after church service. They are a great way to treat the family to breakfast, while at the same time supporting a great local organization.
