'The Burger Family' adopted the community of Humboldt and the Broncos' organization as one of their own on Tuesday, making sure the people were fed and the Broncos' were supported during 'Feed The Community' day.

All day long on April 10th, A&W in Humboldt provided free meals and drinks to everybody. Customers would place their order and be told, 'Normally your total would be _____, but today your order is free and all we ask for is a donation to the Humboldt Broncos.'

With 100% of the sales on April 10th going towards the Broncos, and having the donations matched by A&W Canada and Canalta Food Services, the unbelievable support paid off big time.

"It was pretty amazing! We raised just over $19,000," stated Joe Laroque, Manager of A&W Humboldt. "With the matching donations, we're going to be well over $50,000 raised for the Humboldt Broncos."

With the restaurant jam packed all day long, and A&W providing mass deliveries for businesses in and around the city, the whirlwind day for the staff and Laroque was unlike anything they've ever been a part of before.

"It was absolutely exhilarating," expressed a smiling Laroque after Tuesday. "It was a fun day with great support from the community, just a high energy and it was good to see everyone come out."

"We just want to thank the community for coming out and showing their support. It really shows the pride that we have and that we are a small community with big hearts."

Laroque added that the decision from A&W to not charge anyone for their meals and simply ask for a donation made a huge difference. By making the meals free by donation, an additional $6,000 was raised over the actual sales number that would've accounted for the donation.

Like Many Businesses, A&W Has A 'Bronco Strong' Logo In Their Window.
