A new flag has been raised outside of City Hall to go along with Ovarian Cancer Month.

The ceremony took place Friday evening which saw guest speaker Ovarian Cancer Survivor Shelia Moormann.

She had many thank you's to give out.

"First of all, Mayor Rob Muench and the City Hall Staff, Deputy Mayor Sandy Weyland, Stephanie Gosselin who is the Saskatchewan Representative for Ovarian Cancer Canada, our local media for the amazing support, to my family and friends for always being there for me wherever this journey takes me, and last but not least, God, for granting me life after cancer."

Moorman says it's important to be aware of Ovarian Cancer.

"Wear teal, and know the signs and symptoms of this silent killer."
