For the fourth year in a row, the City of Humboldt is hoping to capture some of the community's beauty through the Our Humboldt photo contest.

Community Development Coordinator Colby McClelland explained the contest, "the top 10 photos will be displayed in the Humboldt and District gallery and that will be in August and September and throughout Culture days in October."

The top three photos will be printed and framed for the photographers, they will also receive a Humboldt themed prize pack.

Photos will be judged on how the photos reflect the seven Our Humboldt values.

McClelland said last year went great, "I think we got about 60 plus photos last year so it went very well."

The city also uses photos in promotional materials. One of last year's top photos was used at the cover of the 2017 spring and summer community guide.

Submissions can be sent in starting this Sunday, up until July 14th. The contest closes at 4pm on July 14th.
