The organization, Partners to End Poverty is teaming up with the Kelsey Trail health Region and the Salvation Army to load up students with school supplies.

For the third year, the "Operation Fill-a-Backpack" project will be ran out of the communities of Melfort, Tisdale and Nipawin.

The initiative is aimed as assisting parents and families in breaking down barriers to literacy in the northeast region.

Donations can be made at the Salvation Army, churches and businesses in the region up until August 16th.

If you are in need of supplies for next school year parents are asked to sign up before the 16th of August as well.

Pick-up dates will be August 18th in Nipawin, August 22nd in Tisdale and August 24th in Melfort.
