A LeRoy citizen has now become the new Saskatchewan Federation of Labour President.

Lori Johb acclaimed the position last Saturday at the office in Regina since no else put their name forward for the election. After former president Larry Hubich stepped down it left the position open.

Her duties consist of work around occupational health and safety, lobby government, and campaign to improve the lives works. The new Labour president has been an activist for her entire working life as a healthcare worker and in 2010 was elected to become the treasure of the Saskatchewan Federation of labour.

She has lived in LeRoy since she got married 35 years ago and went to school in Humboldt.
