The City of Humboldt has a new way to showcase themselves to potential investors, business seekers and residents.

Through a partnership with the tech firm Townfolio and a provincial body, the data is now online as Humboldt's Director of Development Jennifer Brooks explains.

"They partnered with the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association to make their resources available to communities to create incredibly data rich community profiles for the business community and for investors looking to either enhance or grow a business around the province."

The city received a special rate to set up the profile on their website.

Brooks talks about some of the items the feature covers.

"Things around real estate, industry, insights, sociodemographic information, what is our community made of in terms of demographics. I really encourage people to go online and take a look at the profile to get a sense of really, what information is contained and what they can do with that information."

Humboldt region stakeholders are encouraged to use and share the portfolio to anyone such as potential employees or visitors to the city.

As the city's development manager, Brooks appreciates the profile as much as anyone.

"As a smaller community we haven't always had access to this information, it's maintained, it's comprehensible,  it's reliable, it's up to date. We really wants folk to use this information free of charge to again take their business to the next level or encourage people to investigate the region."
