There is a new face for the executive director of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.

Brent Fitzpatrick claimed the position of executive director on Monday for the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.

After the departure of the previous executive director, It left a position open for Fitzpatrick to join the chamber. The duties for being an executive director are to enhance and encourage business in the region of Humboldt and the surrounding area.

"I've always respected the chamber of commerce, I've always respected the position of the executive director and just how critical of a role it is in the community and in the development and enhancement of business," said Brent Fitzpatrick on being excited about the role.

Fitzpatrick stated he had a connection with the chamber because of his history in newspaper publishing and the connection the chamber has with the newspapers.
