The intersection at 6th Avenue and 9th Street in Humboldt is set to become a 4 way stop.

City council came to an agreement on Monday to get the 2 extra signs up before the season of fall.

"I think it's one of those intersections that looks like a 4-way stop already, and the traffic counts on 3 of the 4 roads coming into that intersection were fairly equal, and if it's equal traffic it's probably a good idea for a 4 way stop just to keep traffic flowing," said Humboldt's Mayor, Rob Muench, on why the decision was made.

Indicators will be put up when the 4 way stop is finished as the exact date the intersection will be converted is unknown.
