A statement from the Saskatchewan Health Authority has been released on behalf of the Gobeil family.

The family stated the Morgan Gobeil is recovering at a slow manageable pace and still has a long way to go. Gobeil will remain in the hospital for a few more months as he suffered a significant brain injury during the crash on April 6th.

The family has stated that the road to recovery will not be easy, but that it has been remarkable to see how far Gobeil has come. Gobeil is now in the stage of rehabilitation, where he takes part in physio, occupational and speech therapies and keeps a positive mindset says the family.

Although he knows he was involved in a bus accident en route to the game in Nipawin on the 6th of April, he does not know what has happened since.

Gobeil's family also sends their thanks for the support and well wishes.
