Update: The special weather statement has ended.

It seems Mother Nature has missed the memo that we're supposed to be enjoying spring.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the areas of Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan and Foam Lake.

An Alberta Clipper is forecast to bring five to 10 centimetres of snow to central Saskatchewan today.

Snow will start over the Humboldt region later in the morning, and it's expected to be worst along Highway 16 and Highway 1.

There is also a slight risk of freezing rain over southwestern sections along Highway 1 early in the morning.
