During the month of August between the 1st and 27th, the Humboldt and Lanigan RCMP detachments were dispatched to a total of 296 calls for service This was right around the median for average calls in the month. However, there was a noted increase in highway traffic with it being the summer season.

With the month of September now present, with that comes the re-enforcement of school zones and the local detachment would like to remind the public to take extra care when driving in those areas and ask for everyone to please watch out for children of all ages as they make their way to and from their schools.
 
The RCMP would like to make the public aware that you can also expect to see increased targeted enforcement initiatives in and around the local school zones over the next month.
