The Humboldt Public School are ramping up their current snack program, and with that came a donation of a new industrial meat slicer.

The ongoing snack program at the Humboldt Public School is helped by funding from PC Children Charities, where they are able to provide a snack to each child consisting of 2 food groups. This year their plan is to provide 3 food groups for all the children. In turn, this created the need for a meat slicer which Terry's No Frills generously donated to the school.

Terry Lehoux of Terry's No Frills said, 'They were talking about how they would like to get into doing meat for the snack program and were looking to purchase a meat slicer...I had one that I wanted to donate to them. That way they can keep their costs down by buying the meat chubs rather than the already sliced meat and expand their program.'

The Humboldt Public school's snack program is also in need and looking for volunteers to help out once a week, for an hour or so a day, to help prep. If interested please call the school at 306-682-2684
