Mayor Rob Muench has been at or near the center of conversations in Humboldt and his face and voice have been heard around the world.

The outpouring of support has been overwhelming and the City of Humboldt is getting help from many places.

Several Saskatchewan Mayors have extended offers to help and, in particular, Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark has arranged a team of six people to help.

"They've been working with our city people just to tap into my two phones that are clogged with emails and well-wishes and text messages. So, they've set up a database and they're organizing everything for, not only the city, but the Broncos and they're trying to bring all these offers of condolence and offers of help into a database that we can sort through and keep up."

Humboldt businesses have been working non-stop and Muench adds that in the coming days and weeks it'll be important to stop and assess.

"It's nice to see the community support out there." He added, "...at the end of the day, we've got to sit down when the dust settles and they're going to be needing some help...some support...because everyone's been staying so busy."

Looking ahead, Mayor Muench is taking careful steps.

"One foot in front of the other...you just gotta keep moving forward."
