Around 100,000 Canadians have signed up to be organ donors over the past few months to follow in the footsteps of an inspirational figure part of the Humboldt Broncos.

Logan Boulet, who perished in the Humboldt Broncos Bus crash on April 6th was an organ donor when he passed away. Thanks to Boulet's generosity, 6 people are still alive today.

It was a cool day in Humboldt as family, friends, and loved ones gathered with the Angels Legacy Project. Logan was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year Award for saving the lives of 6 people and inspiring people to also become organ donors. Logan's Parents were present to receive the award on behalf.

"Everyone deserves a standing ovation in their lifetime and everyone deserves a snowbird flyover, the snowbirds are coming today for Humboldt, not for Logan Boulet, they are coming for the community and the city. Logan loved being a Bronco, He loved living in Humboldt and he loved living his dream," said Toby Boulet, the father of Logan Boulet.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds flew over the EPA in honour of those who died in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. The planes formed a heart in the sky for the whole city of Humboldt to see. To honour Boulet, the Angels Legacy Project has renamed the award the "Logan Boulet Humanitarian of the Year Award.
