The Saskatchewan Party Government is offering another round of Request for Proposals regarding the privatization of 40 liquor stores.

The application process for 20 more stores began on Monday.

Among the communities listed in this round of RFP's are Kelvington, Wadena, Wakaw, Tisdale and Aberdeen. There is one opportunity in these towns.

"This third round of RFP's includes communities outside of the province's cities," Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority Don McMorris stated in a news release. "For this round, successful proponents for these locations will have the option to operate an integrated or standalone retail operation."

In November of 2015 the government announced the changes to the 40 stores as well as 11 new retail locations.

Deadline to apply for any of these 20 opportunities is September 7.

Conversion of the Melfort liquor store will take place in 2019 when its current lease expires.
