The Province of Saskatchewan has made some announcements of changes to a pair of local housing boards.

Christina Gerrand has been appointed to the LeRoy Housing Authority Board of Directors. She will join Brett Tuplin, Cody Block, Donald Finding.

The LeRoy Housing Authority is a community-based organization that provides daily management of 22 housing units constructed and operated under the terms of a federal/provincial/municipal cost sharing agreement.

Two volunteers have also climbed aboard the Allan Housing Authority putting their executive at five. Garth Lester and Anne Moldenhauer have both been appointed to the board and will sit around the table with Ted Chipman, Honey Maes and Edward Bjornson.

The Allan Authority provides daily management of 11 housing units.

Social Services Minister and Humboldt MLA, Donna Harpauer provided credit to those serving their community.

"This local hands-on approach ensures that the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation responds effectively to the needs of each community."

Saskatchewan has a network of 260 housing authorities and more than 1,400 volunteer members who assist with management of housing units throughout the province for seniors, low income families and persons with disabilities.
