It's been a lot more accessible with the elevator and getting into the facility and as you see we are continuing and I think the work will continue. I'm looking forward as to how that's all going to develop."

Entry signs, the LED sign, working now with Centennial Park, getting that moving forward, there's been a lot of things that we've worked with the community and organizations."

It's those same stakeholders he wanted to thank for their cooperation over his time at the helm.

"There is great staff here in the department, there is great staff within the whole city. The support that we've seen from council and the partnerships with the user groups. Things like the Carl Schenn Playground, the spray park, the skateboard park, all possible because the community came together to do that and I was just lucky to be a part of all that."
