As completion of the new LeRoy rink approaches the public will have a chance for a sneak peak Friday.

Mayor Brian Thoen explains more about their plans for the day.

"We're actually going to bring the school kids over at 11:30 and then we're going to feed them a hamburger and a drink and then we're going to open it up to the public until 2:30. They can have a burger and a drink and walk around in there and have a look to see where the progress si with everything."

Thoen says pictures don't do the facility justice and it would be well worth taking the time to see the $5.6 million building in it's state now.

"We've been taking pictures at night time and posting them but it's not like seeing the real thing. When I go in there it's like wow, there's so many things happening."

Drywall is going up daily and painters are on site plus the ice surface is being worked on. Thoen adds that excitement is building as the project nears completion, he says seeing the inside will peak that even more.

"With the doors being closed people are always asking questions, what's happening in there? This way people can go in there and actually see what's happening in there, it will bring the enthusiasm up."

The ribbon cutting ceremony commencing the completion is expected for mid-August.
