The LeRoy Day Care now has the funding needed to welcome up to fifteen new children soon.

After applying to have licensed spots for three years, Kimberley Block, chairperson LeRoy Daycare, says they received notice in late March/early April that they will be fully subsidized by the government, going forward.

"This huge news for our daycare. It cuts down on the fundraising we'll need to do. We will get subsidies back from the government each month," explains Block.

Block says she hopes that the new spots made available will meet LeRoy's childcare needs. They have been approved to take three infants as well, with care becoming available after only six weeks.

"We'd really like to thank the town of LeRoy and everyone that has supported us so far. This news of getting funding is really big for us so we're hoping to be up and running soon. Their support has been much appreciated."
