Monday night is the last push for the Town of Ituna to collect enough votes to be named Hockeyville 2017.

After being announced as a finalist for the title of Hockeyville on Saturday night, voting between Ituna and O'Leary, Prince Edward Island opened at 7:00am on Sunday.

Simply being in the final two will help push a new arena in Ituna closer to reality, with $100,000 in arena upgrades on the way.

Both the winner and runner-up for Hockeyville receive the cash, but the added bonus is the opportunity to host an NHL Pre-Season game ahead of the 2017-18 season.

Ituna's rink has long been in need of upgrades, and Mayor Doug Scully believes that the $100,000 will allow them to start a new build within the next two to three years.
