Ahead of the holiday season, Canadian Blood Services was in Humboldt one last time in 2017 on Monday.

Blood donations were being taken during the afternoon at Jubilee Hall.

The organization continues to stress how vital donations are.

"A lot of people think blood is just used for a car accident or trauma situation, but people need it every day. It is used every minute of every day," explained Katherine Wasylynka.

She added that not only could your donation save a life, it will also give you some good deed points.

"It is probably the most direct way that you can give back and impact your community directly," Wasylynka said on giving blood.

While it was the last clinic of the year in Humboldt, the giving never stops.

The next clinic is already scheduled for the new year on February 19.
