The RBC Beef Supreme Challenge is considered to be the "Superbowl" of the beef industry in North America.

On Saturday, at Canadian Western Agrobition in Regina the Beef Supreme challenge took place. The champion of the event for 2018 was Blair's Ag. Cattle Company. Their Black Angus Female named PM-Echo and her calf alongside won the company $10,000 and the championship belt.

The cows are judged on type, structure, and their basic body build. In order to win, one must develop their cow to it's fullest physical potential. In Blair's case, they were able to find the right animal, develop PM-Echo at the right pace, clean the cow, and trim its fur.

"We purchased the cow as a heifer calf two years ago, the cow was actually bred and raised till it was a calf in Poplar Meadows in Houston, British Columbia, and we've owned since then. We bred her and raised the calf and it's been a great ride," said Kevin Blair, owner of Blair's Ag. Cattle Company.

This isn't the first time PM-echo has taken home some hardware. As a bred Heffer she was the Reserve Champion Female in the Angus Show last year.

When asked what quarterback PM-echo mirrors, Blair said, "I'm going to say Drew Brees."
