Dianne Beauchamp who spent some of her time growing up in Colonsay SK had an interesting moment when she shared a photo on her personal Facebook that unintentionally blew up.

She shared a photo of her son Duncan's new prosthetic leg. The leg was green with a Rider logo because Duncan wanted a football leg.

"He wanted a football leg, a good football leg, a good green one."

Beauchamp was unsure that Duncan knew what he wanted because he was only two-years old but they presented him with some choices and he chose the Rider leg.

Duncan has had three prosthetic legs prior to this one as he was born with a condition known as Fibular Hemimelia.

Duncan's mom explained, "Hemimelia means lack there of" he grew a tibia bone, but no fibula, foot, or ankle. He had what the family referred to as "his lucky fin."

After Beauchamp shared the post some of her friends who she referred to as "uber Rider fans" told her to share it on the RiderNation Facebook page and she did.

That's when it blew up. The post was then shared to a private fan page and Duncan was nominated for player of the game award.

Duncan got to present Willie Jefferson the player of the game award on Thursday and then the entire family got to attend the Labour Day Classic on Sunday. They got to stand on the field while the team came out, for the coin toss, and kick off.

Beauchamp noted that the condition is pretty rare, approx 80000 will get the condition.

Duncan is sponsored but the Shriners for his needs and will be sponsored until he is 18 which is good because the legs can be between $5000 and $10000 each.
