A recent respiratory outbreak in long term care residents at Kelvindell Lodge has caused the Kelsey Trail Health Region to issue a visitor restriction.

Symptoms of respiratory illness, including congested coughing, fatigue, aches and pains, were reported in four of the residents.

In addition to the visitor restriction, activities have been cancelled and precautions are being taken to contain and minimize the spread of the virus.

Those visiting family at the facility are being restricted until further notice, with exception of those visiting extremely ill residents.

If there are any concerns they can be brought up with facility staff.
