Any green thumbs interested in seeing what's new for flowers this year should think about attending the 'Eye for Colour' workshop Tuesday night at the Humboldt and District Gallery.

Supervisor Jean Price says Misty Gardens owner Paul Kneeshaw will lead the tutorial.

"We've partnered with Misty Gardens for it so we're going to looking colour, texture and composition and how you can put those things together in a garden or a piece of art or a craft project and creating palettes of colour."

Price adds that the event coincides with their new exhibit at the Gallery.

"We actually approached them about sponsoring the exhibit we have on right now called, 'There's an Artist in the Garden' which focuses a lot on the similar processes between artists and gardeners. How they look at what they're creating, how it's all going to come together and what the final product is going to look like so they then offered to do this workshop which is really cool."

It's free to attend, there is no pre-registration required, you can simply show up at at 7 o'clock.
