With Telemiracle 41 approaching in early March, the Humboldt Kinettes are looking to raise their fundraising total that is presented on the telethon.

They will do that - literally - on Saturday, as the Kinettes host their ladder lift for a second time.

"The first people who donate $141 and wish to climb the ladder, those ten individuals from our community will climb the ladder at 2:00pm," explained Kinettes member Susan Dunne.

Unsure of what to expect in their first year of holding the event in 2016, Dunne says that they are looking to make the lift more inclusive, by offering the chance to climb the ladder with the $141 contribution.

"It was the Kinettes and our families who participated in the climb last year and so we wanted to broaden it this year and we wanted it to become a part of the community."

In just four hours, the event brought in over $1,700.

Building off that success, they are expanding to eight hours this year, according to Dunne.

"We decided we better make it a little bit longer. Our presence is there to promote Telemiracle and we want to be there to help promote the event on March 4th and 5th in Saskatoon."

The Kinettes will be set-up at Sobeys from 9:00am to 5:00pm and be assisted by the local grocer, as well as the Fire Department and Ambulance.
