The Kelsey Trail Health Region is happy to announce that renovations at Kelvindell Lodge in Kelvington are complete.

All long term care residents have been moved back into the facility.

The upgrades included the addition of acute, emergency and primary health care in the existing lodge.

The renovations began back in July of 2014.

"We are extremely pleased that residents are back home in the facility," KTHR CEO Shane Merriman said in a news release Tuesday. "Our physicians, managers and staff, long term care residents and their families are to be commended for their patience and cooperation since this project started. They have graciously lived and
worked through all of the stress, disruption and inconvenience that comes with construction and renovation and, in the case of our healthcare providers, have gone above and beyond to maintain quality care for their residents, patients and clients."

The total cost of the project was $15 million, the province covered 80 percent of the cost, municipal partners covered the remaining $3 million.

The KTHR will celebrate the completion of the project on Thursday, June 8th.
