Rosetown RCMP’s investigation into the June 29th, 2018 motor vehicle collision near Elrose that claimed the lives of six people, including a former member of the Humboldt Broncos, is now complete.

The investigation determined that a northbound SUV with a lone driver/occupant crossed over into the southbound lane of Hwy #4 and collided with a second SUV carrying five people. Investigators were unable to determine the reason for that with absolute certainty, however, they were able to rule out alcohol as a factor.

Rosetown RCMP was assisted in this investigation by the RCMP’s Traffic Reconstruction unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. No further updates will be provided.
