The Wadena Hockey Arena on Saturday afternoon was packed with people from Fishing Lake First Nation.

The Indigenous Alumni Tour made a stop in Wadena. It brought indigenous hockey legends such as Jamie Leach, John Chabot, Scott Daniels and many others.

"It was to bring inspiration to our youth and even our adults, but the real target was the students and young adults," said Derek Sunshine, Chief of Fishing Lake First Nation.

It all started at 1 PM with lunch and motivational speeches. To follow a youth hockey clinic took place at 3 PM. Then at 4:30 a game was organized between the Alumni and the Fishing Lake First Nations Hockey Team, formed by the residents.

To warp up the event, people attending the event could enjoy a supper while interacting with the Alumni.
